About the player
Jhildrey Lasso is a 23-year-old Colombian defender whose career has taken him from the second tier of Colombian football to a stint in Switzerland. Born in Villavicencio, he made his name at Llaneros FC, where he spent the bulk of his early career across two separate spells either side of a loan move.
His first run at Llaneros, between 2021 and 2023, brought 61 appearances and a single goal, enough to earn a mid-season loan to Deportivo Cali in July 2023, where he featured five times before returning to Llaneros the following year. That second spell, from 2024 to 2025, was more productive in front of goal: 50 appearances and five goals, including two in that season's Copa Colombia. It also delivered his most concrete piece of team success, as Llaneros were crowned champions of the opening half of the 2024 Torneo BetPlay in Colombia's second division, Primera B.
In July 2025, Lasso moved abroad for the first time, joining Swiss side AC Bellinzona, where he made eight appearances before the club arranged a loan in January 2026 that sent him to Alianza Petrolera in Colombia, where he is now expected to feature through the end of the year.
At 173cm and 58kg, Lasso is a slight figure at the back, and his output so far has come more in flashes at the second-division level than in a settled top-flight role. There is, as yet, no record of a call-up to the Colombian national team.
