Johan Rojas

Rojas's first-team career began with a defeat. On 30 January 2022 he was handed a debut for La Equidad against Atlético Nacional, a match his side lost 1-0. He stayed almost three seasons in Bogotá, making 70 appearances and finishing with seven goals and ten assists.

In June 2024 Monterrey paid a reported 2.5 million US dollars for the forward, with La Equidad keeping 20 per cent of the fee, and signed him to a contract running to July 2028. His time in Mexico brought around 20 appearances and three goals, plus minutes in the CONCACAF Champions League and at the FIFA Club World Cup. Monterrey lost the 2024 Apertura final to América.

From February 2025 he spent the year on loan at Necaxa, presented as a Necaxa player on 2 February and interrupting the spell only in June, when Monterrey recalled him for the Club World Cup before he returned. He played 30 to 31 matches there, scoring twice — against León and Querétaro — and adding two assists. Necaxa did not take up a purchase option, and the loan ended with the season.

On 11 January 2026 Vasco da Gama announced his signing, again on loan, this time until the end of the year. The Brazilian club holds a purchase option of 4.5 million euros; the loan fee was not disclosed. Rojas has made roughly 15 appearances in Rio without a goal or an assist to his name.
