About the player
The deal runs through the end of the 2029–30 season, with a club option for 2030–31.
Born in Palmira, Colombia, Caicedo started out with Independiente Santa Fe before a short spell at Barranquilla FC. In 2020 he moved into the Pumas UNAM system, beginning with the reserve side Pumas Tabasco and later helping the club's youth team win the Liga MX under-20 title in the 2022 Apertura. He stepped up to the first team that year and went on to make 114 appearances for Pumas, scoring three goals and setting up two more.
He returned to the pitch in January 2024 against Juárez.
At youth level, Caicedo played three matches for Colombia's under-17 side in 2019 and appeared once for the under-23s, in a December 2023 friendly against Mexico. He has yet to be called up to the senior national team.
