Joshua Kitolano

Joshua Kitolano was born in Likasi, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and moved to Norway in October 2005. He broke into the first team at Odd's academy and went on to make 108 league appearances for the club, scoring seven goals.

In June 2022, Sparta Rotterdam signed him for a fee of around €610,000, and he became a regular in the Dutch side's midfield, contributing 14 goals in 117 league matches. His contract with Sparta was due to run until 2026, but he left the club on a free transfer and returned to Norway to join Bodø/Glimt, signing a deal that runs until 2030.

He joined Bodø/Glimt after the club's Eliteserien title win, joining a squad already established as champions rather than helping deliver that success himself. His return to continental competition brought a difficult night in September 2026, when he was injured during a Champions League match away to Bayern Munich, a game Bodø/Glimt lost 5-0, and had to be substituted, with Ulrik Saltnes coming on in his place.

Football runs in the family: his brothers John and Eric are also professional players, at Aalesund and Lillestrøm respectively.
