Jovan Marković

Jovan Marković was born in Belgrade. He also spent two years on the books at Academica Clinceni before returning to Craiova's structure.

The 2024/25 season took him away from the capital, with loan spells at both Oțelul Galați and Hermannstadt. He returned in time to be part of a title-winning campaign: Universitatea Craiova were crowned champions of Romania in 2025/26, scoring 13 goals in around 35 league appearances. The club went on to add the Romanian Super Cup as well.

His form for Craiova earned him a first call-up to the senior Romania national team, for whom he has three caps, built on top of twenty appearances at Under-21 level. Holding dual Romanian and Serbian nationality, he chose to represent the country where he had spent his entire footballing upbringing rather than the one of his birth.

After the title win, Marković moved on to Farul Constanța, though his stay there was brief before a further transfer took him to Botoșani, where he has made four appearances so far. Across his career in Romanian league football he has scored 33 goals in 182 matches, adding seven more in cup competition and ten appearances in European fixtures without finding the net.
