About the player
Karl Gunnarsson took his first steps in football at Förslövs IF before moving to the Ängelholms FF academy in 2018, at the age of 13. His most productive campaign there came in 2023, when he made 28 appearances.
In summer 2024, Gunnarsson left Ängelholms FF for Vasteras SK FK, signing a contract running three and a half years. He made his first appearances in Allsvenskan, the country's top division, before the end of that year.
The 2025 season saw him established as a regular for Vasteras SK FK in Superettan, the second tier, where he played 30 matches and scored four goals.
His performances brought international recognition in 2026, when he was called up to Sweden's under-21 side and made his debut for the age-group team in a friendly.
