About the player
Kevin Álvarez made his professional debut at Pachuca in 2018 before América signed him in the summer of 2023. Across his five years there he grew into a regular in the back line, contributing five goals along the way.
The move to Club América was a significant step, and it followed a period in which his form had already drawn the attention of the national team setup.
Álvarez has earned 16 caps for the senior Mexico side, scoring once. He was part of the squad that finished as runners-up at the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup, and he also won bronze with Mexico at the 2019 Pan American Games. Before that, he had already progressed through the under-20 and under-23 national teams.
