Leyner Palacios

Leyner Palacios came through Colombian youth football and made his professional debut with Leones FC, where he spent three seasons on the right wing before his move to Alianza. He was capped once by Colombia's under-21 side in a friendly in 2023, and he has also featured for the under-20 national team, though the record of his appearances there is incomplete.

His time at Leones was steady rather than prolific. He scored twice in 25 appearances during the 2024 Primera B campaign, his busiest season for goal involvement, and followed it with a single goal in 17 matches in 2025. His first full professional season, in 2023, passed without a goal in 14 outings. The pattern suggests a player used primarily to create rather than finish, though the underlying numbers are sparse.

Palacios joined Alianza on a free move after Leones, stepping into a club that had itself gone through upheaval following the dissolution and reformation of the Barrancabermeja side.
