Luis Mario Cordova Mina

Luis Mario Córdova Mina came through Independiente Juniors before moving to LDU Quito in 2021.

He moved to LDU Quito in 2021, playing for the club's U20 side and appearing once in the Copa Libertadores youth edition the following year. A free transfer took him to Deportivo Cuenca in July 2022, where he made his first-team debut that September against Independiente del Valle, though senior appearances stayed limited.

The 2023/2024 season sent him out on loan to Etar Veliko Tarnovo in Bulgaria's top flight, where he played eight league matches. In August 2024 he joined Maltese side Birkirkara, initially on loan before the move was made permanent as a free transfer at the start of 2025. Across two seasons he built up a run of appearances in the Maltese league and featured twice in the UEFA Conference League.

He signed for Técnico Universitario as a free agent in July 2026, taking the number 4 shirt. His start there has been uneven: he was left on the bench for matches against Manta and Independiente del Valle, though he did start against Universidad Católica.

At youth international level, Córdova was part of the Ecuador squad that won silver at the 2022 South American Games and featured at the 2023 South American Under-20 Championship, taking his under-20 caps to eight without a goal. He has not yet been called up to the senior national team.
