Moritz Broschinski

Finsterwalde raised Moritz Broschinski before Brandenburg's biggest club did: he moved through the town's own youth side and then Brieske-Senftenberg before Energie Cottbus took him on. He made his senior debut there in 2017 and left three years later with 37 league appearances, seven goals and two Brandenburg state cups to his name.

A switch to Borussia Dortmund's reserve side followed, and in 2020/21 he collected a DFB-Pokal winner's medal as part of the club's squad. Three years and 33 appearances with Dortmund II led to a transfer to VfL Bochum in January 2023 for a fee reported at around €135,000. Bochum became his most productive spell: 72 league appearances and six goals over two and a half seasons.

Basel paid considerably more to bring him to Switzerland in August 2025, a fee that could rise to €2.5 million with bonuses attached to a four-year contract. His first season there brought 19 league appearances and a single goal. A loan to Karlsruher SC for the 2026/27 season looked like a chance to rebuild momentum, and he scored twice in three appearances before a partial tear of the posterior syndesmosis ligament forced surgery and ended his campaign early.
