Milton Oscar Casco

Milton Casco spent a decade at River Plate. He arrived at the club in September 2015 after a deal that nearly took him to Marseille instead — the French move, worth €2.5 million, fell through, and River paid $3 million for 85% of his economic rights. He also won the Recopa Sudamericana twice, in 2016 and 2019.

Before River, Casco built himself into a first-team regular the harder way. He made his debut for Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in June 2009 and stayed four years, then moved to Newell's Old Boys in 2012, where he was part of the squad that won the Torneo Final in 2013 across three seasons and 82 appearances.

International recognition came relatively late and stayed brief. Casco debuted for Argentina in June 2015 in a 5–0 friendly win over Bolivia, and went on to earn just three caps. He was still included in two Copa América squads — the 2015 edition in Chile, where Argentina took silver, though he did not play in the final, and the 2019 tournament in Brazil, where the team finished third and he featured once.

He left River as a free agent in 2026. On 6 January 2026 he signed for Atlético Nacional, also as a free agent, and has since made 20 appearances for the Colombian side, scoring twice.
