Marvin Schulz

Marvin Schulz came through the academy at Borussia Mönchengladbach, joining as a youth player in 2003 and staying with the club for more than a decade before making his professional debut in August 2015 in the DFB-Pokal, followed shortly afterwards by his first Bundesliga appearance. His time in the senior side proved brief: after eight appearances, he moved on to Swiss football.

It was at FC Luzern that Schulz built the foundation of his career. Over four seasons he made 139 appearances and scored 17 goals, and won the Swiss Cup in the 2020/21 campaign before he returned to Germany in 2022 to join Holstein Kiel.

At Kiel, Schulz became part of a squad that achieved historic promotion to the Bundesliga in 2024. He made 65 appearances for the club during his time there. In June 2025 he moved on to SC Preußen Münster, where he wears the number 10 shirt — a detail that distinguishes him from a younger teammate of the same surname who wears number 30 at the club.

Schulz has also represented Germany at youth level, earning seven caps for the U20 side between 2015 and 2016. His recent seasons have been interrupted by injury: he suffered an adductor muscle problem in December 2024 and a lateral ligament tear in October 2025.

Right-footed and capable of playing as a central midfielder or centre-back, Schulz has built a career defined by steady progression through German and Swiss football before returning home to take part in Kiel's promotion push.
