Torge Paetow

Torge Paetow captained SC Weiche Flensburg 08 for several seasons, a spell that produced two Schleswig-Holstein Cup wins, in 2017/2018 and 2020/2021, before he moved on to SC Verl in 2022. There he made 68 appearances and scored four goals, work that led to his transfer to SC Preußen Münster in June 2024. Verl said at the time that they received a fee for him, though the exact amount was not made public; his market value was estimated at around €300,000.

Paetow's route to professional football ran through Schleswig-Holstein's lower leagues rather than a big academy. He started out at TSV Garding and TSV Hattstedt before joining FC Angeln 02 and then Holstein Kiel, making his senior debut for Holstein Kiel II in 2013. A free transfer took him to ETSV Weiche Flensburg in 2014, where he made 61 appearances and scored once before a brief stint at VfR Aalen. He returned to Flensburg in 2017 and grew into the captaincy there, racking up 122 appearances and 14 goals over five seasons.

At Preußen Münster, where his contract runs until 2027, he has settled into the centre-back role, with 26 to 31 appearances and three goals for the club so far. Both his height and his ability to use either foot have made him a fixture at the back line. He has not been capped by Germany at any level.
