About the player
Miro Tenho built his career at home before it took him abroad. He came through the youth ranks in Kaarina, at KaaNa, KaaPo, PiPS and FC Kaarina, before making his senior debut in 2013 at ÅIFK in Finland's third tier. TPS gave him his real foothold in the game: five seasons and 135 appearances between 2014 and 2018.
A single season at Inter Turku in 2019 preceded the move that defined the middle of his career. At HJK between 2020 and 2023, Tenho won the Finnish championship and the Finnish Cup in his first year at the club, and went on to make 75 appearances in Helsinki colours.
In December 2023 he left Finland as a free agent for Djurgårdens IF in Sweden, signing a contract through 2026.
Tenho has been part of the Finland squad since 2022, though how often he has featured is harder to pin down than most numbers on a player's record. He is yet to score for his country. His time with the national team has not been without setback: he suffered a nose injury during a match against Poland in September 2025, and returned to the squad afterwards following a spell out through suspension.
At club level in 2026 he remains a fixture in the Djurgården side.
