Maddy Padelski

Padelski took the ball in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament, with the match against Northwestern already past overtime, and scored the penalty that put Alabama through. A round later, against Stanford, she scored the Crimson Tide's second goal. It was Alabama's first appearance in the second round since 2023.

She started at Tri-Cities United as a child, moved to an ECNL side in Knoxville, then spent five years in the academy at Tennessee SC. The recognition came early: first-team ECNL All-American in 2021, and second-team honours in the U16 category for the 2022–23 season.

Two seasons at the University of Alabama followed, in 2024 and 2025 — 36 matches, eight goals, three assists. The NCAA run in her second year was the part that travelled.

On 8 January 2026 she signed a two-year contract with Portland Thorns FC and took the number 11 shirt. Her debut came on 8 May against Racing Louisville, a 3–1 defeat in which she was on the pitch for three minutes. By the end of August she had six appearances and 108 minutes in the NWSL, without a goal or an assist.
