Marcos Victor

In April 2023, in the deciding match of the Campeonato Baiano, Marcos Victor tore ligaments in his knee.

He had reached Bahia only months earlier. The move, in December 2022, cost around 3.9 million reais, roughly 700,000 euros, and it came with complications: Ceará held 60 per cent of his rights and Floresta the other 40. When Bahia did not pay Ceará in full, Floresta went to court over its share, some 1.8 to 1.9 million reais.

He came up in the Ferroviário academy, played twice for Floresta in 2020–21, then joined Ceará on loan in February 2021, starting in the youth sides before his first-team debut in 2022. Twelve appearances across all competitions followed, and a permanent deal at the end of June that year.

Since the injury, minutes have been scarce. A loan to Athletico Paranaense in September 2024 brought one Série A appearance. Before that, in August 2024, he fell out publicly with coach Rodrigo Ceni after Bahia blocked a proposed move to Caucaia. He returned to Ceará on loan in February 2025 and won the Campeonato Cearense, scoring in the semi-final against Maracanã. A short spell at Santa Clara in Portugal in early 2026 produced no minutes at all; Bahia recalled him early because the squad was short.

He is back with Bahia, appearing in Série A and the Baiano. In January 2025 supporters and the broadcaster TVE named him player of the match in a goalless draw with Jacuipense.
