About the player
Marcos Vinícius's career has had less to do with a single defining club than with a run of loans and short spells that eventually landed him back at Chapecoense in 2026. He started out at Atlético Tubarão, playing in the Campeonato Catarinense, before Chapecoense signed him in 2018 and took on 60% of his economic rights. A loan to Criciúma followed in 2019, and a move to Portugal came next: two seasons at Vilafranquense, where he made 23 appearances in Liga Portugal 2.
Back in Brazil, he joined Maringá in 2022 and went out on loan to ABC in Série C the same year.
Marcos Vinícius returned to Chapecoense as a free agent at the start of 2026, featuring across Série A, the Catarinense championship, the Copa do Brasil and the Copa Sudeste. In August 2026 he moved on again, joining Goiás in Série B.
There have been no call-ups to the Brazil national team and no individual awards along the way.
