Marinho

Marinho left his home town of Penedo, in Alagoas, as a teenager and worked his way through the Brazilian pyramid via Penedense before joining Santos's youth ranks. His breakthrough came at Internacional, where he spent the best part of five seasons and established himself as a regular on the right flank. From there his career took him across the country and briefly abroad, with spells at Náutico, Ceará and Cruzeiro before a move to China with Changchun Yatai in 2017.

He returned to Brazilian football with Grêmio, who paid 8 million reais for him in 2018, then went on to represent Santos, Flamengo and Fortaleza, leaving the latter club by mutual agreement after a contract reported at around 20 million reais. Across more than a decade in the professional game, Marinho built a reputation as a well-travelled forward who rarely stayed at one club for long, moving through some of Brazil's biggest sides as well as smaller regional ones.

He has already worn Vitória's colours once before, having joined the club on loan and later signed permanently after his rights were bought from Cruzeiro. In January 2026 he returned to Vitória once more, this time as a free agent, taking the number 7 shirt. He has not been capped by the Brazil national team.
