About the player
When FK Orenburg announced his signing on 24 July 2026, Maxime Sivis arrived with a distinction attached to him: he is the first French player in the club's history. He joined from FC Dinamo București, where he had played through the 2025–26 season after moving to Romania in 2024.
Sivis left Quevilly-Rouen, where he had appeared for both the B side and the senior team, for US Concarneau in 2019 at no fee. A year later, again for nothing, he went to Red Star FC. In 2021 the same kind of move took him to En Avant Guingamp.
He was a local boy at the start. Sivis spent nine years in the youth ranks at Cholet, the town where he was born, before Angers SCO took him in 2013. His senior grounding came in the Angers reserve side between 2016 and 2018.
The international chapter is short and, so far, closed. Sivis, who is French and of Congolese descent, played once for the DR Congo under-17 side, in a friendly against England under-17s in October 2015. He has no senior caps for either country. Nor, to date, has he collected a major team trophy or an individual award.
