Mitar Ergelaš

The number 10 shirt at FK Mačva Šabac belongs to a left-footed forward who was given a permanent home after a series of loans. In the first half of the 2025/26 season Mitar Ergelaš finished as joint top scorer in the Prva Liga Srbije with five goals; by the end of the campaign he had 31 league appearances and nine goals. In October 2025 he scored against Partizan in the Serbian Cup.

The route there was long. Ergelaš came through the youth ranks at FK Vojvodina between 2017 and 2020, then moved into the academy at FK Čukarički, where he made his senior debut on 6 June 2020. Regular football at the club did not follow. He was loaned to FK Novi Pazar for two seasons, 2022/23 and 2023/24, and made 38 league appearances there, scoring five goals — one in the first season, four in the second. A further loan took him to GFK Sloven Ruma, the club of the town where he was born, for 2024/25: 15 appearances, two goals. He returned to Čukarički, and on 1 July 2025 left on a free transfer for Mačva.

He is listed as a forward and has also been used in midfield, chiefly on the right wing — an arrangement that suits a left foot cutting inside.

Ergelaš has played for Serbia at three youth levels. The heaviest involvement came earliest: 14 caps and two goals for the under-17 side across 2018 and 2019. He added three appearances for the under-19s in 2022 and five for the under-21s in 2023. He has yet to appear for the senior national team.
