Nicolás Adrián Oroz

Nicolás Oroz's path to a first-team debut ran through five loans before it ran through Racing Club's own dressing room. Between 2016 and 2022 he was farmed out to Chacarita Juniors, O'Higgins, Universidad de Chile, Al-Wasl and Volos NFC, gathering appearances and goals across Argentina, Chile, the United Arab Emirates and Greece before finally settling back at the club that had signed him as a boy from Juventud Unida in 2008.

He made his senior debut for Racing on 18 May 2014, in the Torneo Final of that year, and stayed on the books for close to a decade despite the constant movement in between. The loan at Chacarita Juniors was his most productive spell away, ten goals in 63 appearances, and his form there and at O'Higgins, where he scored seven times in 30 games, kept him in Racing's plans rather than easing him permanently out the door.

Back in Buenos Aires for good, Oroz became part of a Racing side that won the Primera División in the Torneo Transición of 2014, then added the Trofeo de Campeones and the Supercopa Internacional in 2022. He left the club in 2023 having gone from prospect on loan to title winner.

In January 2024 Argentinos Juniors paid 2,000,000 US dollars for 80 per cent of his rights, bringing him back into Argentine football after his most recent loan spell in Greece with Volos NFC. He now wears the number 11 shirt in La Paternal.
