Sebastián Nahuel Prieto

Sebastián Nahuel Prieto has spent a career moving through the middle tiers of Argentine football, building a body of work at clubs that rarely draw national attention but where he became a fixture in defence. He began at Talleres de Remedios de Escalada, staying three seasons and playing 93 matches, a run that established him as a regular starter before he had turned twenty-five.

From there the path ran through UAI Urquiza and Temperley, two spells that kept him in continuous first-team football rather than adding trophies to his name. It was at Tigre, though, where Prieto found his longest and most productive stretch: nearly four years and 110 appearances, the largest tally of his career at a single club, with four goals scored along the way.

That spell ended in January 2024, when he left Tigre as a free agent and joined Argentinos Juniors, where he has since made 68 appearances. Across his career he has featured in 344 matches and scored 19 goals, a record built almost entirely on availability and consistency rather than on standout individual seasons or silverware. He has never been called up to the Argentina national team.
