About the player
Narcis Ilaș was still 16 when he made his first-team appearance for FC Botoșani on 20 May 2023, five days after signing his first professional contract with the club — a deal running to 30 June 2029.
He came through the academy in the town he was born in, and the step up followed quickly. Across the 2023/24 season he was involved with the first team while also turning out for the youth side.
In January 2024 he moved to the academy of Lazio, joining the Italian club's Under-18 setup with an option to buy attached. In Rome he was called into training with the Primavera squad. On 30 June 2024, at the end of the season, he returned to Botoșani.
The second loan sent him closer to home and into senior football. In August 2024 he joined CSM Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț in Romania's second tier, staying for the season. That spell ended on 30 June 2025, and he went back to his parent club.
At international level Ilaș has represented Romania at Under-20 level, with two appearances and no goals as of March 2026. He has not played for the senior national side.
