Nazareno Fernández Colombo

Nazareno Fernández Colombo made his name at Defensa y Justicia, first on loan from Estudiantes and then permanently, a spell in which the centre-back racked up 57 appearances and three goals, becoming a fixture in the side over two seasons. That run of consistent starts marked the period in which he established himself as a first-team defender rather than a squad option.

Before that, Colombo had come through at Estudiantes, where he made his senior debut and went on to play 24 matches, scoring twice from central defence. The move to Defensa y Justicia on loan in 2021 gave him regular football away from La Plata, and the club made the switch permanent the following year.

His performances for Argentina's youth sides ran in parallel with his club progress. Colombo was part of the squad that won the L'Alcúdia tournament with the under-20s in 2018, a year in which he also featured five times and scored twice for that age group. He later collected a second international title with the under-23s at the Pre-Olympic Tournament in 2020.

Colombo joined Racing Club in 2023, adding a further 73 appearances and two goals to his record there. Born in Quilmes, he now wears the number 23 shirt for the club as a central defender, continuing a career built on steady progress through Argentine football rather than a single defining transfer.
