About the player
Neyder Moreno's career has run through Colombia's biggest clubs before taking an unusual detour to the other side of the world. He came through at Envigado and by 2019 had earned a move to Atlético Nacional . His time there was broken up by loan spells rather than a settled run, with stints back at Envigado and then at Independiente Santa Fe , before he kept returning to Nacional once each loan ended.
The most eye-catching chapter came in 2024, when Moreno left South America altogether for Auckland FC in New Zealand. 24 appearances and 8 goals in a single season.
In February 2026, Moreno signed for Banfield in Argentina as a free agent, taking the number 33 shirt. On the continental stage, he featured for Nacional in the Copa Libertadores across 2021 and 2023, making five appearances in the competition.
There was also a call-up to Colombia's senior national team, reported in May 2021, though no debut or further international involvement has since been confirmed.
