About the player
Nikolay Prandzhev came through the youth ranks at Maritsa in his native Plovdiv, working his way up to the club's under-19 side. In November 2023, Krumovgrad handed him his first professional contract, and he made his top-flight debut for the club that season, though only in a single appearance.
His contract at Krumovgrad ran out at the end of June 2025. On 20 July 2025, Prandzhev signed a long-term deal with Botev Plovdiv. The move gives him the chance to build on the limited first-team minutes he picked up at Krumovgrad, this time in front of the club he grew up watching.
At Botev, Prandzhev has been used across both the senior side in the First League and the reserve team, Botev II, giving him a route to game time while he competes for a regular starting spot. His record so far is modest in terms of appearances, but the return to Plovdiv marks a new chapter for a goalkeeper still early in his development.
