About the player
Paul Lehmann's first minutes as a professional came late in the game and late in the day: an 89th-minute substitution away at MSV Duisburg on 11 September 2022, with Dynamo Dresden already 1-0 up and seeing the game out. It remains one of only four league appearances he made for the Dresden first team between 2022 and 2024.
He had been at Dynamo since he was six, arriving in 2010 and working up through every youth level at the club. In the A-Junioren-Bundesliga in 2022/23 he scored twice in seven matches.
In January 2024 Dresden loaned the defender to Regionalliga Nordost side FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt for the rest of the 2023/24 season, where he played 15 times. In July 2025 he moved to SC Verl in the 3. Liga, and it brought 14 league appearances. Verl won the Landespokal Westfalen in 2026 with Lehmann part of the squad during that period.
The arrangement was made permanent on 28 June 2026, when it was announced that Lehmann had left Dynamo Dresden on a free transfer. He signed a two-year deal at Verl running to 30 June 2028, and wears the number 14 shirt.
