About the player
Growing up in Brașov, Raúl Cantauz made his way through the youth system at Sepsi OSK Sfântu Gheorghe. He has come up through the age groups there and continued to feature for the under-19 side even after breaking into first-team contention.
That step up arrived in the 2024/25 season, when Cantauz began to be included in matchday squads at senior level. His first appearance for the first team came in the Cupa României, where he started and played the full 90 minutes.
On the pitch, Cantauz operates as a central midfielder and is comfortable using either foot. He currently wears the number 16 shirt at Sepsi OSK.
There has been no call-up to a Romanian youth national team confirmed so far, and no individual award attached to his name.
