About the player
Renan Peixoto's career has run through more academies and clubs than most players see in a lifetime, without ever settling into an established first team for long. He came up through the youth ranks at Olaria before moving to São Caetano, where loan spells took him to Corinthians and América Mineiro in 2019 — a taste of Brazilian football's biggest stages before he returned to finish his development at São Caetano itself.
What followed was an itinerant few years across three continents. Peixoto left Brazil for Austria, joining SC Röthis and then FC Dornbirn, before a more unusual move took him to South Korea, where he spent a season with Seoul E-Land. Few Brazilian forwards of his generation have added a Korean club to their résumé. He returned to Dornbirn for a second spell, then played for Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz, stitching together a career built on adaptation to different leagues, climates and styles of football rather than a single defining spell at one club.
The path brought him back home in 2025, first at Portuguesa and then at Athletico Paranaense, where he now plays. For a forward who spent his early-to-mid twenties bouncing between Austrian regional football and a one-season detour in Asia, the move into one of Brazil's more prominent clubs marks a return to a higher level of competition after years spent proving himself away from the spotlight.
