About the player
Shuryjano Cornecion joined the club's youth ranks in the 2018/19 season with EHV+GIL JO11-1 — JO12, JO14, JO15, JO16, JO17 and JO19 — before signing his first professional contract at 16, running until 2028.
His move to Jong PSV, the club's reserve side in the Eerste Divisie, came at the end of 2025. The midfielder made his debut for the team on 13 March 2026 against FC Eindhoven, coming on as a substitute in the 76th minute of a 1-2 defeat. He went on to make four appearances in the Eerste Divisie that season. In the 2026/27 campaign he has featured twice, against FC Volendam on 10 August 2026.
Alongside his reserve-team football, Cornecion appeared five times for PSV's U19 side in the UEFA Youth League, registering an assist along the way.
He has represented the Netherlands at U16, U17, U18 and U19 level, and was called up to the Dutch U17 squad in February 2025. He also qualifies for Curaçao and received a call-up to that country's U20 squad in February 2026.
In 2024, Cornecion was chosen as the cover star for the Marveld Tournament.
