About the player
Sammy Dudek made his first appearance for Lech Poznań's senior side as a substitute on 31 January 2025, in a 4-1 win over Widzew Łódź in the Ekstraklasa. He added a second outing that season, coming on against Puszcza Niepołomice in May, before featuring twice more the following campaign: once in the league, against Bruk-Bet Termalica in March 2026, and once in the Polish Cup, against Gryf Słupsk the previous October.
Born in Baden-Baden, Germany, Dudek holds Polish citizenship through his parents and is also eligible to play for Germany, but he has represented Poland at youth level. His route to Lech ran through a string of clubs on the Baltic coast — Diament Zduńska Wola, FCSM Kołobrzeg, Kotwica Kołobrzeg, Gwardia Koszalin and Bałtyk Koszalin — before he joined the Lech academy. He signed his first professional contract with the club on 12 June 2023.
Lech sent Dudek out on loan to Unia Skierniewice on 8 July 2026, for the full season through to 30 June 2027, without an option to buy. He wears the number 53 shirt there.
