Sani Abdullahi

Sani Abdullahi arrived at FK Mačva Šabac in September 2023 with no professional record behind him. Public files list no youth academy and no senior club in Nigeria before the move; whether he played for one at all is not documented. No fee was disclosed. He was handed a place in a second-tier Serbian side and stayed.

The first two seasons were spent in the Prva Liga, and Abdullahi was part of the squad that went up to the Super Liga. In 2025/26 he made 27 league appearances and scored three goals, adding one in the Serbian Cup. Soccerway credits him with 61 appearances across both divisions for Mačva, eight goals and nine assists. Other records diverge sharply — the site Ofsayt lists 18 matches and 11 goals for his first season alone.

He is listed variously as a forward and as a midfielder. At 187 cm he is right-footed.

The step up came in 2026/27. Four Super Liga appearances so far represent his first football at the top level of Serbian club competition, three years after signing. His contract with Mačva runs to 10 June 2026.

Nigeria has not called him. There are no caps at senior level, none at U-20 or U-23, and no recent squad list for either the Super Eagles or the Flying Eagles includes his name. No individual awards or team titles appear in his record.
