Sebastián Andrés Pérez Kirby

Sebastián Pérez started out at the goalkeeping academy run by Jorge García before joining Everton de Viña del Mar's youth ranks in 2007, initially as third-choice keeper. He worked his way into the first team between 2010 and 2012, with loan spells at Deportes Melipilla and Deportes Puerto Montt along the way. The move to Puerto Montt became permanent in 2013, and the club went on to win the Segunda División in the 2014–15 season, earning promotion to the top flight with Pérez in goal.

He returned to Everton de Viña del Mar in 2016 before joining Palestino in December 2017 for a single season, then moved on to Deportes Iquique in 2019. Iquique's relegation from the Primera División prompted his switch to Universidad Católica in March 2021, a transfer made on undisclosed terms. A loan to Unión Española followed in 2023, a period Pérez himself has described publicly as time spent out of the picture, with competition for the starting jersey keeping him out of goal. He returned to Palestino as a free agent at the start of 2025.

Pérez earned his first cap for Chile on 9 December 2021, starting the full 90 minutes in a 2-2 friendly draw with Mexico at the age of 31. His second and, so far, only other appearance came on 14 June 2022 against Ghana at the Kirin Cup, a goalless draw in which he again played the entire match. He did not feature in World Cup qualifying fixtures for the national side.

Now with Palestino, wearing the number 25 shirt, Pérez's career has moved between Chile's top and second divisions more than once, including a promotion won at Puerto Montt.
