About the player
Tarsis Bonga came through the Bayer Leverkusen academy before making his senior debut with Fortuna Düsseldorf II, and his career since has taken him across the lower reaches of German football. He was part of the squad that won the 2. Bundesliga title in the 2021–22 season with VfL Bochum. He also picked up a Bavarian Cup winner's medal with 1860 Munich in the 2019/20 season.
Since leaving Bochum, Bonga's path has moved quickly: spells at Eintracht Braunschweig and 1860 Munich were followed by moves at Hallescher FC and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, before he joined FC Würzburger Kickers. Every one of those moves came on a free transfer.
