About the player
Tomás Castro made his way into Belgrano's first team through the club's own academy, having arrived at the age of 12 from Barrio Parque. His run in the senior side came in 2023, when he appeared 12 times across competitions — eight in the Liga Profesional, three in the Copa de la Liga Profesional and one in the Copa Argentina — without finding the net or setting one up. Over three seasons at Belgrano he made 13 official appearances in total.
Belgrano sent him to Mitre, in Santiago del Estero, in 2024, then to Racing de Córdoba in the middle of 2025 for the rest of that season. In July 2026 he moved again, this time to Central Norte, in Salta, on a free loan for one year with a purchase option tied to a percentage of any future transfer. At his new club he wears the number 16 shirt.
