About the player
Twenty-one goals in thirty-three league matches — that is the season Tim Heike will be measured against. It came in 2023–24 with Energie Cottbus, who took the Regionalliga Nordost title but fell short in the promotion play-offs. Heike was among the division's leading scorers without finishing top: the Torschützenkönig award went to Elias Löder of Carl Zeiss Jena, on twenty-five.
The route there was long and unusually scattered. Heike came through the youth ranks at VfL Wolfsburg and then Eintracht Braunschweig, where he moved up through the U17 and U19 sides before joining the reserve team. A stint at Rot-Weiß Erfurt in July 2019 left no record of first-team football at all.
What followed was four clubs in three years, and a striker's return that swung with each of them. At MTV Wolfenbüttel he scored eleven times in nineteen appearances. At VfV Hildesheim he made nine appearances and did not score once. Germania Halberstadt steadied things: eleven goals across thirty-three matches in 2021–22. Cottbus signed him on a free transfer in July 2022, and the second of his two seasons there produced the numbers that changed his standing.
Ingolstadt moved for him in May 2024, taking him into the 3. Liga. A year on, in June 2025, he joined MSV Duisburg in the same division. In June 2026 he signed for SC Verl, where he wears number 25. Most of those moves, like the one to Cottbus, cost nothing in fees.
No individual trophies are listed against his name, and no cup honours.
