About the player
Tárik's career includes stints in Japan's FC Osaka, Indonesia's Pusamania Borneo, Finland with Honka, and Italy's Virtus Francavilla, all within the space of three years.
His most settled spell came back home in Brazil. At Botafogo-SP, between 2022 and 2023, he made 71 appearances. A season at Platanias in Greece also produced a long run of matches, 34 in total. Elsewhere the pattern was shorter stays: a year at Portuguesa, spells at Ipiranga-RS in both 2018 and 2020, and single seasons at Ituano, Londrina, Chapecoense and Ferroviária.
The move to Ponte Preta, confirmed in December 2025 as a free transfer after his contract at Ferroviária expired, came with a complication attached. A transfer ban imposed on the club in July 2025 blocked the registration of new players, so Tárik had to wait for his debut. It finally came on 11 January 2026, away to Corinthians in the Campeonato Paulista.
