About the player
Vladimir Rakić has not had to travel far to reach senior football. He was born in Šabac and came through the youth system of the town's club, Mačva, playing for their under-19 side through the 2023/24 season.
The step up came in July 2024, when he was promoted to the senior squad. He had no other senior club behind him at that point — the move was from the U19 team straight into first-team football at the same address.
His first season in that squad was split across two competitions. Rakić made two appearances in the Serbian SuperLiga and ten in the Serbian First League, where he also scored his first senior goal. He picked up one yellow card in each of the two competitions.
