About the player
Wes Harding spent his early years working towards the captain's armband rather than a regular first-team shirt. At Birmingham City he led the under-23 side and was named the club's Young Player of the Season in 2017/18, but five years at St Andrew's produced 59 appearances and a single loan spell at Alfreton Town.
The move to Rotherham United in 2020 changed that. Over three seasons he made 140 appearances, a run that included a EFL Trophy win in 2021/22 and a runners-up finish in League One the same season.
A free transfer took him to Millwall in 2023, where he made 45 appearances and scored four goals across three seasons, including one in the FA Cup. His time at The Den ended in 2026, but not before Plymouth Argyle had already taken him on loan that February. When his Millwall contract expired in June, he signed for Plymouth permanently on a two-year deal and was made vice-captain.
Harding qualifies for Jamaica through family and made his senior international debut against Serbia in June 2021.
