About the player
Wendell do Santos Sacramento made his first-team debut on the wrong end of a heavy scoreline. On 25 August 2025, Atlético Guaratinguetá handed the Salvador-born midfielder his Série A bow away to Flamengo, a match his side lost 8-0.
Before that, his path ran through Bahia's youth football at Ypiranga-BA and PFC Cajazeiras before he joined the Atlético Guaratinguetá academy in 2023. From there he was loaned out to Palmeiras' under-20 side, where he featured in the Copinha, the country's leading youth tournament, over the following two seasons.
He returned to Atlético Guaratinguetá in 2025 to break into the senior squad, only to be sent out on loan again within the same year, this time to Vitória.
Left-footed and 176cm tall, Wendell has yet to add international recognition or a senior honour to his record.
