About the player
Yeicar Perlaza came through the ranks at Estación Verde in the Cauca valley before Atlético Nacional brought him into the academy in 2020, at seventeen. Two years of development football followed — 52 appearances for the under-21 side, seven goals and fifteen assists from the back. His first-team debut for Nacional came in 2022, and the following year the club sent him on loan to North Texas SC in MLS NEXT Pro.
He returned to Atlético Nacional in 2024: the Liga BetPlay title, the Copa Colombia, and the Copa Ciudad de los Reyes, in whose final he scored.
In January 2025, Perlaza moved to Independiente Santa Fe on loan from Atlético Nacional, wearing number 27. He appeared 44 times with a goal and two assists to his name. His only representative football so far has come with Colombia's under-19 side.
