About the player
Yannick Agnero grew up in Abobo and began his path into professional football at FC Nordsjælland in Denmark, joining the club in 2021. Rather than settling straight into the first team, he was sent out on loan twice, first to Fremad Amager in 2023, then to Helsingør in 2024, where he scored once in ten appearances.
A move to Sweden followed in August 2024, when Halmstads BK signed him. It was there that he first showed a consistent scoring return, finding the net nine times in 30 league appearances over roughly a year, with a further goal in three cup outings.
That form led to a switch to Poland in September 2025, when Lech Poznan paid a reported €2.3 million for him. He took the number 7 shirt.
His first season at Lech brought regular involvement rather than a guaranteed starting berth. He featured in 27 Ekstraklasa matches, scoring three goals, and also contributed in Europe, netting once in ten Conference League appearances, plus a further goal in the Polish Cup. The campaign ended with the Ekstraklasa title and the Polish Super Cup. Agnero has continued to feature into the following season, including qualifying rounds of the Champions League and Europa League.
He has not yet been capped for Ivory Coast's senior national team.
