About the player
Yuri Sena came through Vitória's academy in Salvador and was promoted to the first-team squad in 2020, but first-team minutes have come mostly away from home. Loaned out in successive years, he made eight appearances for CSA in Serie C during 2024, then had spells at Azuriz and Jequié in 2025, gathering games rather than a settled starting berth.
At club level his Vitória ledger reads 26 league appearances alongside three in the Copa do Nordeste. Back at Vitória for the 2026 campaign, he sits as backup behind first-choice Lucas Arcanjo, sharing the reserve goalkeeping role with Gabriel Vasconcellos.
His only representative honours came at youth level: called up to Brazil's under-17 squad for the World Cup in 2017, where he served as a backup rather than featuring, and invited to train with the senior national squad ahead of the 2019 Copa América, without earning a cap. Since then his path has run through loan deals rather than international recognition, the usual route for a goalkeeper still working to force his way past the man in possession of the number one shirt at Barradão.
