Be1 NFA

NFA stadionas holds 500 people. The club began life in 2006 as the Nacionalinė Futbolo Akademija, a coaching set-up in Kaunas, and its senior side, FK NFA, only took shape in 2012. The academy nature of the project showed early: in 2013 the first team withdrew from the II Lyga mid-season and its licence passed to FC Stumbras. Promoted from the III Lyga (South zone) in 2017 after finishing top, the side reached the 1 Lyga the following year and settled there with a 10th-place finish in 2018.

In 2019 control of the academy passed from the Lithuanian Football Federation to Kauno Futbolo Akademija, and the club took the name Be1 NFA. The following seasons brought the closest the project has come to the top flight: second place in the II Lyga in 2021 sent it back up to the 1 Lyga, and second place there in 2023 put it into the promotion play-off for the A Lyga. FC Džiugas Telšiai beat Be1 NFA over two legs, 1-1 and 1-0, and the top division stayed out of reach. In February 2024 the club left Kaunas altogether, moving to Jonava and renaming itself FK Be1, a academy-to-first-team pipeline now attached to a different town than the one that built the stadium it left behind.

Domantas Šluta captained the side through the promotion years, one of the few names to carry over as the club changed identity twice in a decade. With the move to Jonava, Be1 has stepped into a region without an established senior club of its own, leaving its natural rivalries still to form rather than inherited from a settled local history.
