Ekranas Panevėžys

The run started with the 1992/93 championship, when the club became the first side to break Žalgiris Vilnius's hold on the Lithuanian title after independence, and it closed with back-to-back domestic cups in 2010 and 2011.

The club traces back to 1964, set up at the initiative of Vincentas Novickis, director of the Ekranas cathode-ray-tube factory in Panevėžys, and its earliest silverware came under Soviet-era competition, winning the Lithuanian SSR league and cup double in 1985. Dainius Gleveckas captained the side through much of its best period and won 34 caps for Lithuania; Saulius Mikalajūnas, a midfielder at the club, was named Lithuania's footballer of the year in 1999.

Debts caught up with Ekranas in 2015, the original club was dissolved, and it was shut out of the top division. The name did not disappear for good: in 2020, Aukštaitija Panevėžys bought the rights to the Ekranas brand, and the team returned to competition under it. Between the collapse and the revival, and for a stretch afterwards, the side played its home matches at the 620-capacity Žemynos Stadium rather than at Aukštaitija Stadium, the 6,600-seat ground that has been its historic home.

In the 2025 season, it is 12th.
