Benešov

The one season Benešov spent in the Czech top flight ran from August 1994 to May 1995. Under coach Jaroslav Hřebík, the side finished second in the second tier in 1993/94 and went up as FK Švarc Benešov. It finished bottom of the table and went straight back down, but Ivo Knoflíček, who had reached a World Cup quarter-final with Czechoslovakia four years earlier, and Milan Boháč, a local product back at the club since 1994, who scored the last goal SK Benešov ever registered in the first division.

The club has carried several names since. What folded in 1930 under financial strain was refounded within months as Benešovský SK. Until a 1999 merger with the neighbouring village club SK Pyšely brought back a first team under the name it still carries, SK Benešov.

Games are played at the Městský stadion, known locally as Stadion u Konopiště, which holds 8,000. The yellow and blue kit gives the club its nickname, Žlutomodří. A first-place finish in Divize C in 2025/26 sent the team back up into the Česká fotbalová liga, the third tier. The club itself dates to June 1913, when it was founded as AFK Benešov.
