BSK Banja Luka

BSK Banja Luka plays for a city that already has a bigger club with the region's history attached to it.

Home matches are played at Stadion Čaire, a ground that holds 3,000 and gave the club its nickname — Romantičari sa Čaira, the Romantics of Čaire. The name has survived stretches when the club itself barely kept the same one: between 2003 and 2008 it played first as BSK Crni Đorđe, then as BSK Nektar.

The climb back up the divisions took years rather than one push. BSK won the Banja Luka regional league in 2019/20, then the western regional league of Republika Srpska the following season, and finished second twice more — 2016/17 and 2022/23 — before finally getting over the line. In 2025/26 the club won the First League of Republika Srpska, the second tier of Bosnian football, and with it a place in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first time.

Among those who wore the shirt, Miloš Babić stands out for having done it twice: he came through BSK's youth ranks in the 1990s, went on to play for Sarajevo and Obilić, and returned to finish his career at the club between 2010 and 2014.

BSK's own path started in 1932, long before Čaire's stands filled or emptied with the club's changing fortunes, in a city that would eventually give its bigger rival the derby BSK now measures itself against.
