Doze

A vice-championship in the third tier is not the sort of thing most clubs would build a page around, but for Doze it came in only their second year of existence.

The following year Doze reached the final of the Campeonato Capixaba itself, the top competition in Espírito Santo, and lost there too, to Atlético Itapemirim.

Doze was formed on 12 December 2014 by a group of businessmen led by Israel Levi, built new rather than grown out of an existing side. Within its first year it had already earned a place in the Série D. To run the project, the founders brought in men who had worn Vasco da Gama's colours: Sorato, a forward who had played at Vasco and Cruzeiro and gone to the 1996 Olympics, took the manager's job, with 1994 World Cup winner Carlos Germano as his assistant. Jonílson, a midfielder who had turned out for Vasco, Cruzeiro, Atlético Mineiro and Botafogo, joined the squad for those first two seasons and gave the young club a name supporters in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim recognised.

The club has not confirmed a place in a state competition since 2019 and has not appeared in professional football since.
