East Kilbride

K-Park Training Academy holds 700 spectators, 400 of them seated, and it is not really a stadium in the usual sense — East Kilbride share the ground with their own training academy, and the club has never outgrown it, not even in the season that took them furthest.

The current club was formed in May 2010, when Jackton Boys Club merged with Stewartfield FC; EK Diamonds and EK Wanderers joined soon afterwards. John Hartson, the former Celtic and Wales forward, was one of those who put the merger together and still serves as honorary president.

East Kilbride worked their way up through the amateur game, winning the Scottish Amateur Football League's second division in 2011/12 and the first the year after, then took the Lowland League four times — 2016/17, 2018/19, 2023/24 and 2024/25 — with runner-up finishes in between. In 2025/26 they beat Bonnyrigg Rose in the pyramid play-off final and went into Scottish League Two, the club's first season in the SPFL.

They play in gold and navy, a harlequin check that earned them the nickname "The Kilby". Promotion has brought them into the Lanarkshire derby against Airdrieonians and Clyde; closer to home, the game against East Kilbride YM is known locally as the "EKlasico". Ross McNeil scored through a run of thirty straight wins, a club record, and finished the same season, 2017/18, behind only his captain, Craig Malcolm, on the scoresheet.

It took sixteen years to get from that 2010 merger to a place in the SPFL — James Kean, one of those who pushed for the amalgamation in the first place, saw the club he helped assemble from four junior sides reach the senior game.
