Guarabira U20

Two clubs share a crest in Guarabira. Guarabira Esporte Clube folded in 2004, and Associação Desportiva Guarabira was formalised on 16 May 2005, taking the old side's colours and badge as its own. That is the origin worth noting about Associação Desportiva Guarabira: not a beginning but a continuation.

The under-20 side carries that inheritance into the Campeonato Paraibano Sub-20, a competition it has entered every year since the category was organised in 2015 without once lifting the title.

The senior club's history holds at least one name a Brazilian fan would recognise: Carlinhos Paraíba, who wore the shirt in 2003, before the old Guarabira Esporte Clube disappeared. The badge he played under is the one the under-20 side wears now.

Matches are played at the Estádio Municipal Sílvio Porto, and the blue and white shirt has earned the side a cluster of nicknames around Guarabira and the Brejo region it sits in — Alvianil among the players and supporters, Azulão do Brejo among those further off.

Neither Campinense nor Treze plays out of Guarabira itself, so there is no derby in the strict sense, no shared street or shared stadium to sharpen it. The rivalry with both instead comes from the wider Paraíba football scene, where a club rebuilt from nothing keeps measuring itself against the state's older, more decorated names.
